Onsite WHS & Wellbeing Services
Reduce the Cost of Workplace Injury with Onsite WHS & Wellbeing Services
Workplace injuries, both physical and mental, can have a huge negative impact on people’s lives, not just for injured workers but also for their families. Employers and company directors also bear significant costs due to lost productivity, reduced profits, absenteeism, injury claims, compensation, negative organisational culture and, potentially, fines and personal litigation.
Preventing problems before they occur is really the key to a successful business. To help your organisation reduce the cost of workplace injury, AHO offers a range of Injury Prevention, Injury Management and Health & Wellbeing services, delivered onsite at your place of business by experienced Occupational Health clinicians.

Successful businesses recognise the competitive advantage that a healthy workplace can provide, in contrast to their competition who regard health & safety as just a necessary cost of doing business.
AHO’s onsite health and wellbeing services enable employers to proactively support the health and wellbeing of their people and nurture a positive safety culture across their organisation.
If you have difficulty retaining skilled employees or struggle to achieve your financial targets due to high injury costs and lost productivity, an Onsite WHS & Wellbeing clinician is the answer.

An Onsite Injury Prevention program is a partnership between AHO and your organisation.
Initially, we will work closely with you to understand your business’s needs and develop strategies for achieving your short and long-term WHS & Wellbeing goals. We then partner you with an experienced Occupational Health Clinican, dedicated to developing and delivering proactive injury prevention and employee wellbeing services, specifically for your organisation.
Our onsite clinicians are allied health practitioners, experienced in working in occupational settings. They work onsite alongside your health & safety team to identify and mitigate risks, treat and rehabilitate injured workers and assist in the development of WHS & Wellbeing strategies.
An onsite clinician is a valuable addition to any organisation’s WHS team, bringing with them specialised knowledge and skills to bolster a company’s existing risk mitigation, injury prevention and injury management processes, while providing staff with easy access to health and wellbeing services at their place of work.
Our clinicians can also be engaged on an ad hoc basis to provide services such as onsite training, risk assessments or seasonal pre-employment screening programs.
AHO’s onsite clinicians hold qualifications in either Physiotherapy, Osteopathy or Chiropractic, depending on your preference.

Prevent work-related ‘aches or pains’ from becoming lost time injuries (LTIs) and claims
Your team will have access to immediate assessment, diagnosis and treatment of work-related injuries by a clinician who specialises in musculoskeletal injuries and understands an organisation’s injury management processes. Depending on their clinical speciality, our consultants can also order investigations such as x-rays, ultrasounds and MRIs, saving you the time and expense of referring to an external doctor. Productivity will increase as your staff will no longer need to leave the workplace to attend offsite appointments.
Facilitate faster, more sustainable return-to-work outcomes
You’ll be informed immediately about an injured worker’s capacity to perform their role and given advice about appropriate suitable duties, without having to utilise an external doctor. Instead of waiting for a GP to issue a certificate of capacity (COC), often with ambiguous restrictions, you’ll receive clear and consistent advice, on-the-spot, directly from the clinician treating your team.
Clearer, more responsive injury management communication
Your injury management processes will benefit from clear and responsive communication between injured workers, supervisors and your health & safety team. This will allow you to achieve faster, more sustainable return to work outcomes, leading to a reduction in injury costs and lower WorkCover insurance premiums.
Hire the right people for the job
Our consultants can work with you to design and implement Pre-Employment Screening programs, ensuring that you hire people with the right physical and cognitive attributes for their role. Getting this right before you hire can yield significant savings and less headaches in the future.
Encourage a healthy work-life balance for your people
Providing an opportunity for staff to exercise or receive treatment during the work day, re-energises them, saves them money and allows them to spend more of their personal time with family and friends.
Support employee mental health
Working with discomfort or pain is not conducive to happiness and, if left unmanaged, impacts on workers’ mental and physical health. Happy workers are more productive, have lower rates of absenteeism, produce better quality work, energise those around them and have greater retention rates.
Many of our consultants are also trained Mental Health First Aiders, offering another avenue of support for your team.
Foster a positive safety culture
Going beyond the minimum for WHS compliance demonstrates a company’s commitment to worker health, safety and wellbeing and makes your team feel valued. They’ll return the favour with their hard work and loyalty.
